cannot activate windows xp?
i recently took my computer to a computer repair shop because i was experiencing difficulties, now it says i need to activate windows before i can do anything. I can get on internet, but all my desktop icons are gone, and all my documents cannot be opened because there is no start menu, and there is no bottom toolbar. It says i need to type in my COA code. I typed it in but it keeps saying it is incorect. I have double and tripple checked to see if it was right, and there is no error. I have a giant assignment due and i need to type it up! PLEASE HELP!

You will need to contact Microsoft, here is a link. You did not list what OS you are using, so you will need follow the links to a phone # to call.
Have your old COA key ready, they will give you a new KEY FREE to get your system up & running. Just explain the problem!
